In the
Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Prelude (2018) #1 we get to see what happens to Bucky Barnes after Civil War. The comic doesn’t follow a linear timeline, but jumps to different events since the end of Civil War.
We don’t know for sure, when exactly Steve and Bucky arrived at Wakanda, after T’Challa offered to help Bucky and Steve in Sibiria. But Shuri knows already here is another broken white boy to be fixed for her. (Her funny sentence does not imply she had already done so, only there is one boy. But T’Challa could just have told her about Bucky’s problems and that he invited Bucky and Steve to Wakanda to help them)
According to the comic it had been *weeks* until Steve and Bucky get to Wakanda, they freed first their friends and helped them to get home. Then went to Wakanda. By then T’Challa had established his reign.
The comic shows *months later* Bucky is still in cryo, but Shuri has already a solution for his de-programming.
In the post credit scene Bucky is newly out of cryo, but still missing the new arm.
If you rely on the info from the comic, the post credit scene takes places months after the events of Black Panther. If you ignore the comic, it should be at last weeks later, when T’Challa has established his reign and Shuri had her lab functioning again and time to help Bucky.
So Bucky was for months in cryo, and the Civil War post credit scene Bucky going into cryo takes place after Black Panther and before the Black Panther post credit scene with Bucky and Shuri. It would make sense because there seem to be no threat against T’Challa, when he offers protection to Bucky.
The post credit scenes are often out of linear timeline and chronological order. The prelude comics are supposed to be tie ins, but sometimes there are changes in the movies, so they don’t always fit 100% with the movies.
