steve rogers’ story arcs have never been about learning a Lesson ™. he’s never had to be humbled, never had to go through the ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ trope. that’s not what steve’s story is about. his story is one of growing, of adapting, of constantly facing opposition and constantly doing what’s right no matter the cost and no matter the outcome.
