I like to watch a show on a garbage tv network, you know I don’t want to name any actual networks so lets just make one up and so lets just call it fox. So I watch this show on “fox” and i’m like “can you please promote brooklyn nine nine” And they’re like “NO! AND STOP ASKING!!!”and I go “okayyyyyyyy” and I go to the bathroom. Then I come out of the bathroom and I go “any updates on brooklyn nine-nine?” and they go “yeah, we CANCELED IT . BECAUSE WE HATE YOU. Now go watch these other shitty shows that aren’t funny, GO! FETCH!” And I go “okayyyyy :(((’ and then I go over to the fox twitter and i go “can you please not cancel all your actual good shows?” and they go “NOOOOO! In fact, we’re gonna frame you for murder! And you’re gonna go to jail for 30 years!” and I go “why are you doing this to me?” and they say “Because we’re fox studios and life is a fucking nightmare!”

honestly this is a point i don’t see made often enough… one of my favorite grantaires is the one i saw in a swedish production last year, with blonde slicked back hair, meaning he was essentially what we in sweden call a brat or a “schtekare”; i think these pictures will get my point across

the new batch of love for john mulaney here on tumblr has got me thinking how critical costume design is once again. john mulaney is a good comedian, but so much of his power comes from how his humor plays off how he’s dressed. we don’t expect a man dressed like a 1960s news announcer, all clean scrubbed and tight-wound professional, to describe in minute detail the visit where a doctor shoved a hand up his ass. imagine any iconic john mulaney set but given in jeans and a t-shirt, and is it as funny? i don’t think so. his humor spreads like wildfire on this website because the image of a man in a buttoned-up shirt and a tie and slicked back hair with fairly narrow lapels on his three-piece suit is fucking hysterical when paired with “years later I’d be in college about to go down on some
