B99 is cop propaganda while BBT has assisted many a parent to realize that their child may be autistic (Sheldon is bad representation overall, but better representation than most things and displays many of the symptoms that manifest during childhood.)
I’d rather be cop propaganda that frequently portrays the corruption and white straight male privilege within the service than continuously homophobic whilst promoting toxic masculinity and rape culture but go off I guess
Aside from Jake, the main characters of Brooklyn 99 are a two black men (one of whom is gay), two Latina women (one of whom is bisexual), a man who is literally not even close to what society considers tough or badass or masculine, and a woman who would usually just be a player off as comic relief with no real personality in any other show. all of them are portrayed as super badass and important to the plot and setting, it’s literally not “cop propogabda”. And the other two straight white guys are totally useless. What are you even talking about.

B99: *criticises the police, makes racial profiling the main plot of one of their episode, frequently discusses just how terrible the police used to be, and criticises the prison and criminal justice systems and highlights their failings*
y’all: clearly this show is supposed to make cops look like they’re amazing angels who can Do No Wrong
not to mention that this show is the only one i’ve ever seen that points out how easy it is to buy a gun illegally, and also the only one i’ve ever seen where someone actually says the word “transphobic”
this show isn’t propaganda, it’s a vision of what the police could be if the whole goddamn system wasn’t rotten to the core
