Yitzhak’s RENT Kickstarter (video and description from Lena Hall’s YouTube)

My name is Yitzak Petrov

I
come from a small block that was inside a larger block that was
surrounded by a series of blocks that was called the eastern block.

After
my mother and father escaped the circus they go to work at the 17th
largest regional factory  that produce products from hair of Yak.

My father was a very quiet man what he lacked in words he made up for in silence. (pause raise eyebrow)

My mother raised me to be soft like woman. She teach me shave, chop firewood, plow field, and hunt bear.

The smash musical CATS was #1 consumer of Yak Hair.
To show pride the village put on a government sponsored production of Vladimir Lenin’s CATS.

This was my first musical…imagine my surprise.

The
cats were singing and dancing and in the end they all shed their
belongings and ascended together on a large tire for the benefit of the
litter.

When CATS closed in America the Yak hair factory shut
down. this desolation left the town dark and cold. Which was slight
improvement.

All the factory workers were sent home with bails of Yak Hair.
To
save money my mother knit everything of Yak hair. she make curtains,
pillows, bed, couch, chair, rug, wallpaper, everything yaks hair.

One
night she fell asleep with lit cigar and the house go up like cat on
fire poof everything is gone but my mother was strong, she on fire, she
no cry.*

*as I was digging through the rubble of my once Hairy house I found in perfect condition a cassette recording of a musical RENT.

This
was my mothers way of telling me there is only now, there is only here,
give into love, or live in fear, no other path, no other way, no day
but today.

This sent me on a quest to pursue my dream of performing in rent on broadway.*

I
finally come to america and find my way to broadway. imagine my chagrin
to find that Rent has gone kaput. like Factory like Mother and like
CATS is not now and forever.

So I start a Yitzak Petrov kick starter campaign to return Rent to broadway. Please Donate.
